Papa's Birthday

My dad's birthday was December 23rd and we all got together to celebrate him turning 64!

Reagan and Papa sharing a special moment together.
He also got his Colts jersey as a gift. Go Colts!!

Claire is helping pass out gifts (and opening them)!!

Megan and Kimberly checking out what Papa got. I think it was some new tee shirts.

We, the Blocher's, got my dad a wren birdhouse and birdseed. My dad always likes to guess what the gift is. At first he wasn't sure what the birdseed was. Michael said "It's birdseed" and my dad said "No, it's not birdseed". Well, we were all waiting to see what the final guess was going to be when Reagan says " Yes, it IS birdseed". So, when he opened it there was the birdseed. Of course she knew what it was because she helped me wrap it. We all laughed because she told Papa what it was before he opened.

Meeting my "Texas" cousins for the very first time!!!

My sister, Kim, and her family came in town for Christmas. It was the first time they met Christian in person. They have seen pictures and heard him on the phone. We were all so excited that they finally got to meet each other. They couldn't believe how big he is and how cute, too!

Michael, Christian, Alecia, Megan, Claire and Reagan

The "boy" cousins. We had to take a picture of just the "boys" because there are SOO many girls in my family. If you start counting down from my mom and dad to Christian, there are 10 girls to 3 boys (not including the husbands). There is a lot of estrogen in this family!!!

Santa's Apprentice

Here are a few pictures of Santa's newest apprentice in training.!!!
I think Christian is too cute in his "Santa" hat.

I love this smile!! Doesn't it light up the room?!

Santa's Visit and Rudolph, too!!!

We usually go to my parents and spend the night Christmas Eve along with my two sisters and their families. When we all stay at my parents there are over 15 people opening presents. As you can imagine, it is very hectic!! So, this year Todd and I decided to stay at our own house and spend the morning with our kids. Santa Claus found us at our home and Rudolph, too!

The kids got all kinds of great things! They got an easel, dress up clothes, trucks, stuffed animals, a tent, baby doll accessories, puzzles, books, playdoh, blocks, tool bench and so much more. We also know that Rudolph was here because we sprinkled reindeer food in the front yard and when we went outside there was a half eaten carrot and three bells he dropped while eating. Reagan thought that was so cool!!!

Claire loved the Leap Frog Farm for the frig and the three musketeers candy!
Christian is just staying out of harms way and playing with his own toys.

The girls had to play with the playdoh first. I think they got over 40 cans!! We are set for a long time in the playdoh department. Reagan got her first handheld video game of Dora. She is learning how to play so quick!!

Merry Christmas!!!

We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Todd, Courtney, Brandon, Reagan, Claire and Christian

Sleepy Head

I thought Claire was so sweet with her hands under her head while she was napping. This is a rare moment of peace for Claire. Miss Claire NEVER stops for a minute while she is awake! She definitely has the "middle child syndrome"!!

The scratch between Claire's eyes is from knocking over the Christmas tree in their room. That is Claire for you...

Christian Lewis - Four months

Christian turned four months old last week. I cannot believe how fast time is going... He is doing lots of new things: He loves to chew on his hands, he found his feet and is always grabbing onto them and likes to hold onto his toys. Christian is the happiest baby ever! He is ALWAYS talking and smiling, he loves his big sisters and loves to sit and watch them. Most of all, Christian LOVES his food. He likes his cereal, fruit and veggies. Todd and I always have the camera ready for a funny face when we try a new food but he just eats a bite and is ready for the next one. The biggest thing he is doing is ROLLING OVER!! No more letting him nap on the couch. When we went to the doctor he weighed 16 1/2 pounds. He is a growing boy!!
One of the things I love best is when he sees me... The smile he has lights up the room and my heart!!

I found my thumb!!!

Christian found his thumb last week!!! Isn't he so sweet?

Todd told me to take his thumb out of his mouth. I said, "No, he is too sweet sucking his tiny thumb at this moment in time."

He usually only sucks it when he is hungry and doen't have his "woo woo" (as Reagan called her pacifier). We'll have to wait and see which one he likes best.....

Best Friends Forever

Reagan's best friend, Madelyn, came to visit us for awhile last week after school. They go to Holy Spirit Catholic School for the Preschool two days a week. Their friendship has a neat history: Madelyn's mom, Julie and I have known each other for over 20 years (that makes me feel old!). We kept running into each other around town and got the girls together over the summer. Reagan and Madelyn always have fun together! Hopefully, one day their children can be friends, too.

Aren't they just too cute!

My first taste of food!!!

We gave Christian his first taste of cereal this week. He LOVED it... Just look at his little mouth! He did a super job! I also gave him some applesauce with his cereal for breakfast. We were waiting for some funny faces but he just opened his little mouth and wanted more. He is growing so fast... He is a healthly 16 pounds!! He is also sleeping thru the night (knock on wood) about 10 hours at a time! Yeah, for Todd and I!!!

Stay tuned for more pictures when we try vegetables this next week!!!

"Haley, Where Are You?"

We had to do some repair on the threshold to the door out to the garage. Haley was on the other side of the door. There was enough room between the floor and bottom of the door that Haley could stick her nose thru. The girls thought it was SO funny! They were calling her name over and over to see her nose. Who needs toys???

"Haley... Haley... Haley..."

Claire is trying to touch her from the other side of the door.

Wish they would mop the floor while they are down there :)

Best Buddies

Christian and Max....

Max is one of the little boys I care for. He is five and a half months old and such a little cutie!!! They get along just great!!

They like to sit together and play on the floor beside each other.
I am sure they are thinking of ways to "drive me crazy" one day:)
Christian and Max are "Best Buddies".....

Little "Ozzy"

Introducing our little "Ozzy"..........

Reagan wanted to wear her hat and gloves to school the other day.........

then she found her sunglasses "to keep the sun out of her eyes".....

What a hoot she is!!!!

All About Christian Lewis

Christian turned three months on Friday, November 2nd.... Time is flying by so fast!!
We have moved him to his bed in his room this weekend. He looks so cute asleep in his "big" bed! Christian is such a happy baby and LOVES to eat!!!

Christian is getting to be so big.... he weighs exactly 15 pounds!!

I like to call him my "Chunky Monkey"

He likes when the girls talk to him and smiles so big when he sees them!

Christian loves to smile, laugh, coo and play patty cake!!

He has started to play in his round exersaucer seat. His favorite toy is the orange cat!

He also sits in his seat that helps him sit up by himself and just watches everything we do.

He's not to fond of tummy time. He usually falls asleep after a few minutes.

Todd and I are so blessed to have happy healthy babies!! I am also blessed that I do not have to work out of the home. I have been at home since Reagan was 18 months old, the same age Claire is now. It can be hard at times but what more can a mom ask for than to be with her babies????

HALLOWEEN!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Our little baby bumblebee, Christian!!

Claire had a blast... She loved getting all that candy and loved eating it even more! She did great for her first time out.

Reagan showed Claire the ropes of "trick or treating". She was a great big sister! They rode in the wagon as we took them around Lisa's neighborhood. Lisa made this costume for Madeleine when she was a little girl. Reagan decided to wear it again this year. I think she liked it, a lot!

Our little trick or treaters!!!! They were the cutest animals/pumpkin on the block......

Pumpkin Carving

We carved our pumpkins this weekend and the girls loved playing in the "goo". A tradition we have started is that we save the seeds and plant them in Papa's garden in the spring. Then we get to watch them grow and use them the next fall. The girls are so excited for Halloween to come.
Watch and see what they will be...........

Claire and Reagan carving this years pumpkins!

The final products.........

Papa's Pumpkin Patch

My dad always plants a big garden each year. In the garden he plants pumpkins from the seeds we save. This was the first year Reagan and Claire got to help cut the pumpkins and pick which ones they wanted. Next year Christian will be big enough to "help" Papa and the girls!!

Papa, Reagan and Molly (Papa and Me's dog) cutting pumpins off the vines.

Reagan and Claire carrying pumpkins to the wheelbarrow.

Reagan pointing out to Papa that the this was the biggest one and to cut it, too.

Papa's wheelbarrow of pumpins this year. They were smaller than normal due to the lack of rain. But we will still enjoy them!!
