Lent, Sweets and Fountain Cokes

Lent starts in just over 24 hours..... I have decided this year I am giving up, ANY and ALL, sweets!!! Such as, desserts, candy, pop tarts, donuts, ice cream, cookies, brownies and my list goes on and on. I will still let myself eat cereal because I usually try to eat some kind (some good and some bad) for breakfast. I will just stick to the plain healthy cereal, YUCK!!! I have a H~U~G~E sweet tooth.... and my teeth and weight pay for it! I figured this is the perfect time to regain MY self control over it, ha! ha! My biggest weakness is a fountain coke!!! I could drink them all day long, YUM!!! I really really need to cut back there (can't do diet, yuck!) so I have decided that I will cut my fountain coke intake to half!!! My friends and family will be so happy that I am NOT asking them to grab me one on their way over!! Thanks Emily and Jade :) lol Needless to say, it is going to be a VERY LONG 40 days in my house! I hope to overcome my, out of control, desire to eat sweets and drink fountain coke! That is what Lent is for: to give something up!

Happy 7th Birthday to you, Happy 7th Birthday to you, Happy 7th Birthday Dear Reagan, Happy 7th Birthday to you!!! Cha Cha Cha!!!!

Reagan had an AWESOME birthday!!!!!! We had a family "girls" night out... we went to Cheeseburger in Paradise, Reagan's FAVORITE! then went to the mall. Then we had a party with our family and friends at our house with dinner and the most AWESOME cake ever!!!!! My friend Emily had her step mom copy it from the invite..... IT WAS PERFECT!!!! I know who will be making my cakes from now on!!! Then..... she had a few friends over for a "Makeover" Slumber Party. My friends, Jade and Emily, came over to help makeover the girls! What fun!!!!! :) Reagan definitely had a loooong drown out birthday this year but she is totally worth it!!!!

I am copying off my friend and going to tell you 7 reasons why I love thee, Reagan.....

1. Reagan is my first born :)

2. She is becoming her own person (not always fun! ha!)

3. She is reading and writing on her own

4. Reagan definitely has my DNA in her when it comes to food!!! She LOVES a hamburger (that, I do NOT like), soups, mashed potatoes, sour cream (yum!) and so much more!!!

5. She LOVES to sing and dance.... at the top of her lungs! At times it drives me crazy but I love to watch her!

6. Reagan likes to make us breakfast in bed... Can that be any sweeter?!?!

7. She is one of the "lights" in my life :)

We had our friend, Jade and her kids, over to make Valentine's and eat dinner. While she was here, she helped the kids make this "handprint" picture for me! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! And the kids were very excited to give it to me! Thanks, Jade, for my Valentine's surprise!!!

Slacker..... that I am.

I have really been slacking on posting updates...... I am truly very sorry!!! I am busy as a beaver these days and just never find the time to sit and sort through all the pics I have taken. So, here is a little update:

Reagan Leeanne.... turned 7 on January 26th! She had several different parties; one with our family and good friends, her "girl"friends and went out with just the girls in our family. Reagan really loves music and LOVES to sing! Santa brought her a karaoke machine for Christmas that she LOVES! And got a MP3 player for her birthday! She still has NOT lost a single tooth!!! I am beginning to wonder if she will be in college with her baby teeth! lol Reagan made the Honor Roll both grading periods last semester!!! YAY!!! She is not a big fan of school but does really well! I guess that is what matters most! Reagan will also be starting her 4th year of softball this spring. We are very excited to see her play ball like Kimberly Anne:)

Claire Marie..... will be turning 5 in April!!! I cannot believe my little 4.7lb baby is going to be heading to kindergarten in a very short time. Sniff! Sniff! She is super excited to go to school with Reagan, ride the bus and wear a uniform! lol Claire is still full of......????..... not sure what but Claire is just Claire!! WHEW!!! She is still my little mother hen to all the babies I watch and her baby dolls. And she ALWAYS carries a purse with her that is overflowing with anything and everything you can imagine! Gotta love that middle child!

Christian Lewis..... is 3 1/2!!! Where has the time gone? And where did this little boy come from???..... He LOVES LOVES LOVES his tools! I have to hide my tools because he would much rather have those than his plastic ones. Takes after his Papa and dad 100%!!! He is also really into Handy Manny and Toy Story! Such a little boy.... He goes to preschool with Claire. I think he really enjoys going and has made some new friends! Christian is very much mommas boy :) which is okay with me! Even though it would be nice to get some air! lol He is still my baby boy even though he is almost half my size!

Christmas Cookies and Friends

I had my friends, Jade and Emily and their kids over for pizza and to make cookies!! We all had a blast.... A total of eight kids, three moms and lots lots of laughs and a whole ton of flour, lol !! We hope to make this an annual event! All the kids, Reagan, Aidan, Connor, Claire B., Christian, Izzy, Claire M. and Ethan (minus Taylor) had sooo much fun playing, cutting cookies out, and decorating all the cookies. Jade, Emily and I had a chance to catch up and enjoy each others company and watch all of our kids become friends. I am soo thankful for my kids, my friends and their kids!!! MeRrY ChRiStMaS!!!!

All of the cousins... from Texas to Indiana and ages 24-3 years. We all got together for Christian's 3rd Birthday at my house. What a GrEaT time it was to have all of them together!! They all LOVE each other sooo very much!! We are a very blessed family!!!!
