Pumpkin Carving

We carved our pumpkins this weekend and the girls loved playing in the "goo". A tradition we have started is that we save the seeds and plant them in Papa's garden in the spring. Then we get to watch them grow and use them the next fall. The girls are so excited for Halloween to come.
Watch and see what they will be...........

The final products.........

Papa's Pumpkin Patch

My dad always plants a big garden each year. In the garden he plants pumpkins from the seeds we save. This was the first year Reagan and Claire got to help cut the pumpkins and pick which ones they wanted. Next year Christian will be big enough to "help" Papa and the girls!!

Reagan pointing out to Papa that the this was the biggest one and to cut it, too.

Papa's wheelbarrow of pumpins this year. They were smaller than normal due to the lack of rain. But we will still enjoy them!!

"Born To Ride"

Todd had his motorcycle out getting ready to store it for the winter. I told him that we had to take Christian's picture on it before he got any bigger. I thought Christian did a great job holding on :) !!!

Of course, I had to dress him up in his "Born To Ride" motorcycle t-shirt!

Baby Gap Casting Call

My niece's, Alecia and Megan, have suggested several times that we submit Reagan and Claire's pictures to Gap for them to be "Gap Baby Models". They just had an open casting call and Todd submitted the pictures below. We won't know for a couple weeks if they are finalists. If they are, then the public will vote on the cutest babies. I will keep everyone up to date. We will need your votes!!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to Waterman's Farm Market for our annual trip to pick pumpkins. We had a blast looking at all the different things they had to do. We got to see the dinosaur eat pumpkins, take a hayride to the pumpkin patch, Reagan got to ride a pony and lots of other things. Claire was a little unsure of all the people so she rode on Todd's shoulders. While Christian had the best ride of all... in the carrier. He just snuggled up to me and went to sleep. He missed out on all the fun!! There's always next year..........

I can't believe how big Reagan, Claire and Christian are getting. Last year Claire was just a baby when we went to Waterman's. Just look at her now.... And we now have Christian Lewis as our baby boy. How life can change in just a year's time....

The girls had fun picking out their own pumpkins. That is until Reagan had to go potty!! We had to cut our pumpkin picking short and catch the next hayride back. We had to hurry so the girls ended up with getting the smaller pumpkins. And Christian got the biggest one of all!!!

Namesakes

Christian Lewis is the namesake of two very special people. He was named after my dad, Robert Lewis, and his dad, William Lewis. We hope that someday when Christian has a boy that he will carry on the "Lewis" name.

This past Saturday Brandon had his last football game of the season. It was the first playoff game and they lost to the Cowboys. They had a great season with a record of 5-2. Good job, Brandon!!

All Play and No Work......

Halloween Party

Our niece, Madeleine, had a girls Halloween party this weekend for her friends. Claire, Christian and I went to help while Reagan was at a friend's house playing. Of course, I had to dress them up to be festive.....

Look at me, I am getting so big! Christian went to the doctor Friday for his 2 month check up and weighed over 13 lbs. My baby is growing up so quick!!

Claire is waiting for the pumpkin carving contest.

Claire loved watching the "big" girls.

Kentucky Trip

The kids and I along with Kimberly went to the Angle farm (on my dads side) for a family get together back late this summer. After that we went to my grandparents farm (on my moms side) for a visit. The girls loved looking around at the farm equipment and barn. I wish they could have seen their farm when it was a working farm. They would have loved it!!

The oldest and youngest on the Angle side of the family, Dorothy (born in 1921) and Christian (born in 2007).

Can we go on a hayride??
