In Memory of Ruth Cox

Our "Mimi" passed away on April 19th, 2008 in Elizabethtown, KY with her family by her side at home on the farm. We all knew that this time was coming soon but it still doesn't make it any easier. So, we will look at all the good in her life.... Mimi and Pawpaw were married an astounding 72 1/2 years!! Is that awesome or what? They have three children, eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren: that is awesome, too!! Mimi had lots of family and great friends in her life. Mimi will truly be missed by many!! We know that she is no longer suffering or in pain and that she is watching over all of us!!
God bless you and may you rest in peace, Mimi.....


This picture was taken earlier this year when I took my kids to visit Mimi and Pawpaw. It is the youngest (Christian) and oldest (Mimi) in our family.

Happy Birthday to Claire

Claire Marie turned two on April 10th. We celebrated her birthday with her friends this past weekend. She was very overwhelmed with all the attention on her. She was not sure what to do or how to act. As you will see, she would NOT look at the camera. That is Claire for you....


The Birthday Girl



Miss Claire LOVES her baby dolls. Me & Papa and Todd and I went in together and got her a set of Bitty Baby Twins from American Girl. They came with a boy and girl, outfits for both babies, books and a double stroller. She just loves them to pieces!!


Claire opening her My Little Pony set from her best friend Audrey. She also got books, more pony sets, clothes, baby diaper bags and lots of other goodies.



As you can see, we had a "Hello Kitty" party.


Once again, she would NOT look at the camera for love or money.....

I cannot believe that my itty bitty baby (4lbs 7oz) is now two years old!!! Claire is very petite for her age (she weighs about 23lbs) but her personality is BIG! She is defiantly a middle child but on the other hand she is the sweetest and most caring little girl.
Happy 2nd Birthday to you Claire Bear!!!!

"Late Breaking News: Christian is 8 Months old"

Our Mr. Christian Lewis turned 8 months old on April 2nd. Where has the time and my "little" baby boy gone??? Christian is weighing in at about 21+ pounds, he cut two more teeth (which he got another double ear infection with, lucky us!), crawling ALL over the house now and starting to eat "our" food (and baby food with texture) more and more.... Which of course he loves it all and turns NOTHING away!!! He is our little "chow hound"!!

Needless to say, he has had a busy month. Here are some pictures of the things he has been doing:

Showing off all four of his new teeth. He has the two bottom front teeth and the two top teeth beside the front teeth. We call him our "little vampire" because his front two top teeth have not come through yet. Just like Claire's teeth did....

Climbing through his mega saucer seat....
